1) Who is the data controller?

The controller is Violin Kate (sole performer). You can reach us at the contacts shown above. We do not operate user accounts on this site.

2) What data we collect

• Contact form (Formspree): name, email, phone (optional), message content. Formspree is our form processor and sends your submission to our inbox.
• WhatsApp chat: if you click “Start WhatsApp Chat”, you are redirected to WhatsApp. WhatsApp processes your phone number, message and metadata within their service.
• Direct email/phone: information you provide when contacting us by email or telephone.
• Embedded content: pages may include YouTube video players. YouTube (Google) may collect device and interaction data; using Privacy‑Enhanced Mode reduces tracking until you interact with the video.
• Basic technical data: our static site and hosting may log IP address, user‑agent and error logs for security and troubleshooting. We do not run advertising or analytics cookies.

3) Why we use your data (legal bases)

• Respond to enquiries & provide quotes / bookings — performance of a contract or pre‑contract steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Customer support & communications — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in running our business and ensuring service quality.
• Consent — where required (e.g., you choose to message us via WhatsApp or opt into updates).
• Security & fraud prevention — legitimate interests in protecting the site and inbox.

4) Who we share data with (processors & recipients)

• Formspree, Inc. (form processor) — receives your form submission and forwards it to our email. Acts as our processor under GDPR.
• WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. / WhatsApp LLC — if you choose to chat; WhatsApp is an independent controller for messages sent on their platform.
• Google Ireland Ltd. (YouTube) — only for embedded videos; may receive data as described in Google’s privacy policy.
• Hosting/CDN providers — to deliver this static website.

We do not sell personal data. We share data only as necessary to operate our services or comply with law.

5) International transfers

Some service providers (e.g., WhatsApp and Google/YouTube) may transfer data to countries outside the EEA. Where applicable, providers rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other transfer mechanisms. Note that WhatsApp and YouTube are independent controllers when you use their services.

6) Retention

Contact messages are usually kept for up to 24 months for enquiry history and booking administration, unless a longer period is needed for contracts, accounting or legal claims. WhatsApp messages are retained in our WhatsApp account according to our device settings and WhatsApp’s policies.

7) Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

8) Cookies & tracking

This site does not use advertising cookies. YouTube embeds may set cookies or similar technologies when you press play. Where possible we enable Privacy‑Enhanced Mode to reduce tracking until interaction. External links (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp) are governed by their own policies.

9) Children

Our services are aimed at adults planning events. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10) Updates

We may update this notice to reflect changes to our services or applicable laws. We will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
